The nursery promotes a strong partnership with parents and carers and supports parents in a variety of ways. Parents and carers are well informed of the nurseries policies and procedures; these are displayed in the nursery. Excellent communication channels occur throughout nursery with staff and parents both written and verbal. Staff had built up good relationships with the parents and carers of the nursery. They were able to speak to the staff on a daily basis about their child’s care in addition to having excellent progress records. These records showed children development and achievements throughout their time in the nursery, these were lovely well maintained files, which easily accessible to the parents and would be a joy any parent or carer. In addition to this they had daily report slips, which informs parents about their child’s mean, nappies etc. the parents are encouraged to take part in many activities the establishment provides, they have parents groups where parents have the opportunity at this meeting to have an input to future plans for the nursery. The meals the children had were clearly displayed for parent information. In the parent contract there was clear guidelines of methods of payments. Due to the staff shift it ensures that there is always a member of staff from the room able to greet the parents and pass on relevant information.
