The nursery have a comprehensive Child Protection Policy and all the staff are aware of their roles within this. Staff who are not based in a group or are not keyworkers to any children had a good understanding of the way her role differs slightly from those of other staff. At induction and on the parent’s notice board it clearly outlines the policy and the nurseries responsibility in this. Staff have had training in this area and are fully aware of their responsibility in the reporting of suspected abuse. All children’s individual files are kept confidential, in a filing cabinet.
