Section 4 - Environment

 The Parade Nursery is a house that has been converted having separate entrance doors for the under 2’s and the over 2’s. The rooms are small and provide the children with a comfortable homely feeling. Each room is equipped and staffed to enable them to care for the individual needs of each child. Moving through the rooms you can clearly see the activities for the next stages of play and development being used. In each room there was space for children to move with ease from one activity to another. They had areas for situation play. The whole of the nursery was well maintained with carpeted and no-slip surfaces. It was brightly decorated with all rooms having adequate display space for children’s own work. Staff were aware of current legislation and had systems in place to monitor room temp etc. general cleaning routines were carried out by the staff of all the equipment and toys. The outdoor area is safe and secure and full use was made of the large park opposite the nursery for outdoor sessions.
