In January 2006 The Parade Day Nursery gained a ‘Quality Counts’ certificate from the NDNA (National Day Nursery Association) to Level 3 (Highest Grade Attainable)
National Award for The Parade Day Nursery.
Quality Counts is the leading quality assurance scheme specifically designed for day nurseries. The kite-mark acts as an indicator to parents of independent assessment of quality, over and above the National Standards from Ofsted.
The Quality Counts scheme develops, encourages and maintains a high standard in early education and care. The Parade Day Nursery has passed assessment of 16 modules by an independent panel in order to receive the kite-mark.
Nursery owner Maureen Townsend and nursery manager Alison Fursey comments: “We are delighted to have achieved Quality Counts. We always strive for the highest quality of care at the Parade Day Nursery and believe that Quality Counts kite-mark will signify our commitment to the cause".
Purnima Tanuku, chief executive of the NDNA adds: The NDNA is at the forefront of promoting quality in Day Nurseries. A great amount of energy and commitment is needed to fulfil the criteria set by the scheme's assessment and the Parade Day Nursery should be extremely proud of their new status as one of the country's quality counts accredited nurseries.
